Hi! I'm Bayou Elom, but most people know me simply as Bayou. I'm a professional photographer and videographer in the DMV area, with a passion for capturing life's most authentic moments. I've been honing my craft for nearly 10 years, but my journey as a creative started long before that — it's woven into everything I do, from storytelling to the way I see the world. And yes, I'm always wearing a hat!

Storytelling has always come naturally to me. I wrote my first short story (a very short story) in the first grade and have carried that storytelling approach throughout my life. From music and theatre to poetry, I've explored many creative outlets, each contributing to how I see the world and shape my visual work. For me, photography is the culmination of all these experiences, allowing me to capture unique moments and craft narratives through imagery. Every event or portrait shoot is an opportunity to tell a story, and with people, those stories are infinite.
